Mocha Rose Latte ($6) and Strawberry Fields Summer Toast ($10)

Mocha Rose Latte w/ organic heirloom cacao, rose powder, rothrock coffee & local A2 whole milk, Strawberry Balsamic Toast w/ local berries, whipped ricotta, sumac, arugula

Stepping into the Super Duper Cafe in Millheim is like entering a portal to a world of earthen beauty and nourishment. The shelves are styled with pretty jars of plant powders, books, crystal jewelry, ceramic mugs and other beautiful things from local artists. It’s a cozy and high vibe place to settle in with a hand crafted warm drink and a baked good.

Rebecca Larsen is the owner and chef behind the Super Duper Cafe magic. She has her hands in all sorts of creative projects at all times and her gift is creating beautiful spaces and making food that tastes super duper good and is good for you.

Her Strawberry Fields special is a summer toast featuring organic strawberries from a neighboring farm, whipped goat cheese and mint. “It’s light, sweet and a little bit savory,” Larsen says of the dish drizzled with just a bit of balsamic.

The Mocha Rose Latte is made with heirloom cacao from Ecuador, rose powder from Anima Mundi Herbs and A2 whole milk from nearby Hidden Rock Farm. Rebecca tells us that A2 milk is more easily digestible, which is good news for folks who might be sensitive cow milk. A2 milk does not contain the A1 beta-casein protein which can be difficult for some people to digest.

Hang around Super Duper Cafe for just a little while and you will learn all kinds of high vibration nutritional nuggets from Larsen. In her catering venture, Gather And Co., Larsen is hosting a Garden Dinner at Rhoneymeade Arboretum on Thursday, June 20. The menu is sourced from local vendors and inspired by the earth elements.
