The first thing Moe Thompson wants people to know about Moxmoe Pictures Famous Sandwiches: “This is not a chain. This is our creation.” The second? “Everybody’s got a story and to make highlights in your story is what we’re trying to help people do.” And how Moe and his wife, Kate, are doing that is simple (but delicious): through excellent sandwiches.

“Sandwiches are a good vehicle because they can be taken on boats or to a family game night,” says Moe. Since opening in November of 2024, the sandwich shop nestled in between Fine Wine & Good Spirits and Trek Bicycle in the Benner Pike Shops (think next to the Benner Pike Walmart) has garnered a local following.

For their first Happy Valley Restaurant Week, Moe and Kate dreamed up the Lawn Chair Legend in honor of the summery nature of the sub’s flavor and freshness. Layered with sliced chicken breast, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumbers, bacon, mayo, and a very delicious house dressing, the sandwich will be offered in all three of Moxmoe’s sizes. This one’s definitely going to be a summer blockbuster!
