Strawberry Shortcake ($9)

You’d be hard pressed to name a more iconic early summer dessert than Strawberry Shortcake, and with the hyper local treatment at RE Farm Cafe, this Restaurant Week special is bursting with flavor.

Lead Composer Brenda Palmer says the strawberries at Windswept farm are a hybrid plant gifted from an early guest. “They tend to be small but super sweet,” she said. The classic dessert is simple — which really lets the local ingredients shine.

And while you may have heard RE Farm and Windswept are on the market, the restaurant and farm are still open and serving up top-tier deliciousness as always.

What is new is the a la carte menu, which is now offered all days the restaurant is open, Thursday through Saturday. Reservations are not required, so if a hankering for fabulous local fare hits, head on over for a bite (or two). The multi-course composer’s menu is still available by reservation.
