The Happy Valley Local Heat Burger

Eleven Oaks Farm Wagyu Burger (Newville, Pa), Goot Essa’s Old German Weissa Kase (Howard, Pa),  Suhey Peppers (Boalsburg, Pa), Piper’s Peck Hot Pepper Jelly (Bellefonte, Pa), Candied Kunzler Bacon (Lancaster Pa), Strong Roots Bibb Lettuce (Woodward Pa), Tomato, Onion Served on a Brioche Bun

Executive Chef Bradley Hansen is always dreaming up weekly burger specials — with the help of The Field’s staff, of course. For this year’s Restaurant Week, he took inspiration from the season and the bounty of ingredients available right here in Central PA.

The Happy Valley Heat Burger features six local items, from the smooth and savory Goot Essa cheese to Boalsburg’s own Suhey Peppers and local fave Hot Pepper Jelly from Piper’s Peck. Don’t forget the lettuce, which is hardly an afterthought with crisp Boston Bibb from Strong Roots Farm topping the stack.

Chef Hansen suggests two more local pairings — a cold IPA to complement the burger’s sweet and heat or a mint chocolate chip shake for dessert!
