When asked what The View has to offer our community of diners, food and beverage director Charles Creek says, “Inspired comfort food paired with some of the best views in Happy Valley.” It’s hard to disagree! You can see both Mount Nittany and Tussey Mountain from the restaurant’s popular deck.
And for the cuisine? The View is bringing the best of summer to the table with their HVRW specials. The toasted burrata with Tuscan olives and roasted cherry tomatoes make a super tasty starter served alongside Prosciutto and toasted crostini.
The summertime berry and citrus salad can be ordered with salmon, chicken or steak and is a generous dish of mixed greens, blueberries, mandarin oranges, red onion and tangy goat cheese. Roasted candied pistachios make for sweet crunchy bites and the house-made honey balsamic vinaigrette has a nice zing.
The View has 32 beers on tap with an emphasis on local breweries, and they are excited about their expanded cocktail program. Their Verano Fresco Margarita hits the spicy, sweet and bitter notes. With Espolón Blanco Tequila, Aperol, house-made watermelon and bell pepper syrup, fresh lime juice, and orange bitters, it’s a refreshing collision of flavors.
