We Are Inn

When you walk into the We Are Inn just off of 322 as you come into Philipsburg over Pine Hill, it’s clear that owner Pat Romano Jr. cares deeply about Penn State. Almost as quickly, it becomes apparent that he also cares a great deal about hospitality.

“I’m Italian. I cater to people,” he said. “You gotta do things a certain way.” For Pat and his wife, Jennifer, that way is treating everyone who walks in the door like family — a very hungry family.

The We Are Inn’s Restaurant Week offering is a four-course feast for a very good price: Coconut shrimp, a Caesar salad, the petit surf & turf, and a choice of Italian lemon cake or Grilled Stickies with Creamery ice cream. The smaller portioned entree features a 5-ounce lobster tail and 3-ounce filet, which seems just right alongside the other delicious dishes.

If you don’t live in Philipsburg, summer is the perfect time to take a short drive over the mountain to visit this welcoming spot!
